FAQs
How long does each therapy session take? How long will I be in therapy?
Each session is 50-60 minutes in length. Unfortunately, it is not possible to tell how long it will take someone, and this can depend on presenting issue, support network, and external factors. I am happy to discuss this further individually once we begin to know each other and keep you updated on progress we are making towards your goals.
How much do services cost?
We are an out of network service provider and the fee depends on the service you receive. Please see the Fees section for a full breakdown of services and their cost.
My times may evolve and change with the practice as it grows, but are currently M-Th evenings. However, you may call to request other availability which may be granted on an individual basis depending on my schedule. Please reach out to inquire if a specific time is available.
What if I need to cancel/reschedule?
My cancellation/no show policy is the full fee if notice is not given notice within 24 hours of appointment time. This is to ensure I have time to adequately plan and fill my schedule. Exceptions will be given on a case by case basis in the event of true emergencies as deemed by therapist/practice owner. If notice is given at least 24 hours in advance, there is no penalty.
One of the benefits of not using insurance is that a diagnosis does not need to be provided and shared with insurance carriers and follow you throughout your lifetime. Another benefit is that I'm able to provide in home services as an individual provider accepting private pay. Another benefit is insurance cannot control how long services last and we can provide services based on what you feel would best serve you and your family.

Superbills can be provided at request, but please note that this requires giving a diagnosis to insurance. Superbills are not available for parent coaching as this is not a service with a CPT code billable by insurance companies. However, family therapy and individual therapy can be reimbursed up to the contracted amount your insurance would reimburse. Please note this may not end up being the full rate you paid.
What do you treat?
I treat a variety of mental health diagnosis and adjustments to stressors. I have experience with AD/HD, DMDD, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, ODD, and Adjustment Disorder (implying an adjustment such as a recent separation of parents or a recent death in the family). This is not designed to be a full and comprehensive list, but merely a place to start in terms of what I commonly see.
